I am getting everything together to begin building a new website. I have read the Idiots Guide but must of overlooked or just not understood the following:

- Exactly what version of what programs will I need?
- When you are supposed to upload the html folder up to your host, do you just put the folder in your root directory and leave it named html?

I am probably going to be using the following site as a host:
