You will have to ask your host to modify it if you don't have access directly.

I'm not sure I totally understand though. Why would they have changed this path? I'm sure they also updated php on the server too, but why would the path to includes be different?

I don't think it is actually different. Probably just an error in installation when they upgraded.

I think you're right man. I emailed my host for help. I'm confident they will fix it. If not, I can always get a new host.

I do appreciate the help provided here. I will try and repay the generousity given here by finding a few threads with questions I can answer.

Turns out all I needed to do was make an .htaccess file with the following:
