Seems to work the commenting out the line, i ran a test sign up and no email was sent. I couldn't find the "Your Account Hack"

I tested the "Recommend Us" to make sure other email features still worked and sat for ages waiting for the email only to realise my junk mail filter got it first :P
Anyway, yeh it seems to work - i'll come back if it begins playing up
