Not everyone has fantastico, and those so called 'easy-one-click-installers' always seem to mess up something! Maybe you aren't noticing it now, but in the future you'll probably find something that's caused by those installers.
That's why I always uplaod and install scripts myself

Actually, I don't think he(Mighty) ever said he liked it. Just that not everybody has it.

Fantastico is great fir the first time installer, but when you try and upgrade the the newer version you will still have to learn how to install it the old way.

Plus you will need to learn something about the MySQL server stuff if you want to install things like clan_nuke, Vwar. there are lots of mods that you have to work with the database to get them up and running.

If you can make as many databases as you like I recommend creating a testsite like http://www/lanpartybox.com/testsite/ so that you and fool with it and when you figure out how to get it working right you can install it to the real site and not have to worry as much about screwing something up...

http://www.lanpartybox.com is my test site for http://www.teamchenbro.com I can't afford for the teamchenbro site to go down so I install new stuff to the other site first to make sure it works the way that I want.
