Using PHP Themes
Alright, Im new here, and im new to php... i usually use ASP and HTML and Flash. Anyway, i loaded up my files onto my server, unfortunately its GEOCITIES for right now. Their files say that they accept PHP files and etc.

I tried to load the index.html and it says its 0 kb in size on my computer aNd therefore its saying invalid file when i try to upload it.

Did i download a bad theme OR did i miss a step in trying out a theme, or is it something else? IM gettin ready to by a domain aNd put it up... but i want the site on geocities for the time being.

If n e one can help... plz help lol i need all the help i can get.

Thanks,

P a t r i c k

Sorry ekimrellim... didnt mean to get u so hostile. NO im not a guru...i said i use ASP scripting... and i do..but not THAT much..i use w3schools.com to figure stuff out. Also... didnt mean the idiot reference... what i meant was i knew i had to run PHP-Nuke.. i just dont understand how... i have a domain, i have PHP-Nuke um... 7.5 i think. and i just dont understand what to do .. as far as setting up the "sqldatabase" or w/e.. iono my friend on msn confused me all to heck. I know i need some kinda database, and then i put the theme in a certain folder...well.. how do i link up the theme into the index.php?
"Upload images in BINARY mode of your FTP client, and upload everything else in ASCII mode of your FTP client".... what does this mean lol? someone have msn and can clarify ? this might be the reason when i put that folder on the server..i only had folders and doc.s nothing else uploaded...but maybe im wrong iono.

Later....

hey thanks man well...ill have to ask my dads friend who owns the server..cuz like... I FTP all my files onto my sites when i host em. but i dont know the "program" i just go to ftp://whatever.com and it asks my user name and pw. and thats it. then i copy and paste from desktop.

but it doesnt get images..so iono. I need to set down with someone really and get this figured out. from the main area of my site. i create a folder called ____ and put all my phpnuke files and html files in it? i dont understand the help guides for people like me..who dont know this stuff already. Ill go see if when i do an FTP if it says the program..then ill post it or sumthin.

Thanks,

Patrick
