Duke thank you very much you were correct !!

That solved my layout problem!!

I now have just two little ones left.....

As part of making my center blocks bigger, I decreased the size of my side blocks. I just took the existing numbers and decreased them in relation to the original numbers, each entry is in balance to the original to the pixel but I am having issues with the bottom of the blocks in the picture below.

Also the space between the left blocks and the center blocks is out of whach in comparison with the spacing on the right. If I can get these two things fixed everything should be ok....

Thanks to everyone for their suggestions to a noob like me! Great forum !!

Tried to post a snippet of code from Dreamweaver but it wont show up properly in the post. Current theme.php code Here

The problem is your images are too large and stretching the cells. Maybe try assigning your images on the main page % values instead of locked pixels or possibly scaling them to around 400px x ?. I'd also suggest assigning your images a target=_blank in the image address so the full image can be viewed in a new page.

Try shrinking your images on the news page and your site will return to normal.

I'd also suggest you change you cell images to match your background color.

Not sure if you read the post above or were just posting same time, layout problem is fixed by decreasing size of images in story blocks as you suggest.

However the problem with the side blocks and the spacing between left and center block is still there........ Sorry for the 'PIA' just since I adjusted the blocks everything is good except for the bottom bar. The spacing issue between the left and center blocks has been in their from stock install of the theme. So I am guessing that is probably unrelated to pic size........

Happy to work out a small payment for your time if required....... just pm me.

The last few lines of this themes theme.php file represent the blocks sizes (Top, Middle & Bottom), if you have adjusted any of it widths you must also adjust its footer widths, which to me seems something you haven't done ?

Nah, the site would't let me post again for whatever reason so I was stuck with whatever reply I had made previously, bl00dy strange.

If you can, zip your theme in it's current form and give me a dl so I can look at it on one of my sites.

Don't forget to PM me the link

Your blocks are made up of 3 sections Top middle and bottom, the last few lines in the theme.php file represent this, thus the very last line width 175 needs to be changed to match other changes you have already made

Your best bet is to load back the orignal theme.php file... because you found out that the image size of center blocks was the cause of your site problems... just for the record when you do show images you should give them percentages like example width="80%" this gives the image 80% of the available center block size.

Thanks for your time Marty....... I will keep that in mind for the center blocks. Now to just fix the side block footers and the space and I am DONE.
