Need a hand creating a nuke/phpBB theme - 12-17-2002, 06:35 PM

Well I think I might have gone about this the wrong way.. but here it goes.

I am in the middle working on a new look/design for my website. The new site uses Nuke6 and the latest phpBB-Nuke port.

Now here's the problem. I have a theme which I rather like which I've customized for the site design, but I have no matching phpBB theme.

Can anyone out there help me?

I run a non profit website, and although I have a lot of energy and devotion to the website, I don't have the time/energy to learn the templating system that phpBB uses.

Any help would be much appreciated - honestly anything at all.

If anyone can/will help I'll galdly release the link to the demo site for them to look at.

Many thanks guys,

It's not that difficult really, just play around changing images etc in the subsilver theme and most of the table and link colours can be changed via phpbb admin, Styles Admin, Management and then edit.

Thanks for the reply - the main problem I have is that the CSS in phpBB fights that in Nuke.

I want the phpBB forum in a white box/mainblock on the Nuke page, but setting the background to white in phpBB means that when the forum loads it changes the background, from the rather lovely purple that it is in Nuke to white.

Basically I'd like the subSilver (or varient thereof) to be loaded up ont he page, without changing the look of the Nuke 'frame'.

Sorry - you'll have to forgive my terminology. One of the things about learning everything from scratch (as I have) is that I have my own set of terminology. Combined with the fact that FB seemed to use a big book of synonyms to name things in Nuke it makes it a bit difficult.

CSS style clashing is oh so typical between the Forums css style and Nukes.

Match the css styles as much as possible in each of your CSS style sheets for the Forum adn Nuke theme first. Then look in your tempaltes overall_header.tpl file. There may be some css styles hardcoded in there that you are missing.

Should get you going.
