Theme Question. - 01-06-2003, 06:58 PM

ok, ive spent the greater part of the last week or so learning Photoshop and i think im ready to begin working on a theme for PHPnuke w/ phpbb2 forum.

How should i start out? like, should i make the theme in photoshop then slice it..... damn, are there any good links out there with tuts on how to do such a task? I want to make a theme that looks like the logo on my site... www.craka.com ... *cries* where should i go?

well your best bet is probably to just start messing around.

and it all depends on your php/some html expertise.

I would start by taking one of our working theme packs and just hack the crap out of it. Add your own graphics etc. Get yourself familiar with the whole theme and template layout and the exisitng graphics and just go crazy...

ok.... well, it could be worse you could have said "well, you have to be certified with a PHD in Nuke theme creation, a masters in art, and a baclors degree in programming."
I guess i will just shit around and change things, see what happends. Thanks

ok well i started. All i did was take the subblack theme and make new images. But dont know if im on the right track. before i continue, i will ask you people what ya think cuz if it sux i shouldnt waste my time makin the rest of it and fixing the html n' php to make it all look good.

well, I like it...definately a good start..keep at it...you never know..you may be a theme master before long... :-)
