For some odd reason when we create new users using our own servers emails the users get thier reg email, but say if a user has a hotmail or ISP email they are not getting them

our phpbb2 forums has no problems what so ever (set to SMTP tho)

if i set the Nuke Modules Forums Prefs to SMTP it does not seem to make a difference, and only emails local to that servers will get threw

i have major port blocks on the server, i was thnking it's that, SMTP 25 is open and fine, but Im at my wits end

any ideas?
