The safest bet IMHO is performing a test install and ensuring your db backups work on the new CMS. You can install it in a subfolder such as html/ravennuke, configure, test, etc., and once you have it all working to your satisfaction, install in your html folder.
I'm not saying this is the only way to do it but its how I prefer to test things prior to migrating personally. This method also gives you plenty of time to ensure your theme is the way you like it without worrying about the time constraints and possible issues that arise in going live under a tight deadline.
