Go to:
- Admin/Forums/Configuration and in "General Board Settings" choose "User" for Enable Account Activation.
Also check to see that your domain is listed properly under "Domain Name" and withough http:// as I believe this causes trouble with sending inaccurate link validation url's. Just make sure your site name is
www.yoursitename.com and you should be good to go.
I'd also suggest enabling Visual Confirmation Code to help keep at least some of the bots at bay.
