Thank you to both of you. The information was very helpful. As a note, I found the Extract feature under the filters tab in CS2.

A second problem I have run into with Photoshop is that I have found a couple of photos where it will not let me turn them into layers. Most allow me to click the layer name and turn it into a layer and then add new layers, but some are locked and won't let me do anything. Any idea why?
