Admin area has diff theme than main site.
Im new to all of this, recently I voluntered to help my clan leader with the web portion of things, and sadly I have very little PHPBB experience.

Our website is http://www.triplezilch.com/ The theme that shows on that page, does not show for the Admin side of things when you go into the Admin area and click on Forums, to manage things in there.

So I guess my question is, what file or line of code do I need to or the leader need to look for in order to change the theme across the entire site? Or am I crazy and have no earthly idea what I am yappying about

Thanks in advance for any help anyone at all can provide.

The forums use the subSilver template for their admin section regardless of what theme the site uses, no other admin area should be affected by this and it is not a real problem as only admins will see this.

I agree. But its really ugly, and text is hard to read. The left menu is a few different shades of green, as are some tables in the main content area. The background is silver, and the text white. In order to read anything I have to highlight the entire page, which also starts to become quiet annoying.

If the theme stays as that. What file do I change the text and/or background colors in? If that is possible?

And thank you for your quick reply.

Yeah I believe our leader called it the emerald template? I looked around and couldnt find it to refer to it.

So there is a way to change this seeing as someone already has once? Im trying to figure out what line of code inside of what file would control this change, not for the benefit of any public viewing, for the benefit of my own vision when I am helping to update things and the like. I mean. Make a htm/html file and set the background to silver or #C0C0C0 and the text to white.... If you can just imagine that without making the document even.. Im sure you can understand the pain lol.

Go to your Forum Admin, then to the Styles on the left is a link under there called Management.
Check and see if there are any other STYLES installed for your Forum Admin.

If there are, you can switch to another one in the Forum Admin/Configuration. This will not affect the Regular Forums as long as your Nuke theme already has a matching phpBB forum template.

If there are no other styles installed you can install one yourself. I suggest the standard subSilver.

All you do is upload the subSilver template from the Nuke6.5 package in the modules/Forums/templates folder to your
modules/Forums/templates folder on yoru FTP.
Then return to your Forum Admin, then to STYLES< then ADD. Click to ADD that subSilver style and then change it to be the default style in the Forum Admin/Configuration..
did ya get all that?

mikem. THANK YOU! That was just what I needed. I guess in the blinding neon and the bright white/silver I missed that even on the menu.

I do question. If I dont or the leader of the clan and site doesnt upload the subsilver, and I just click Delete on the Emerald style.. What would happen? *Grin

And thank you thank you again. That was just the reply I needed

If no template is installed and/or available in the templates folder i imagine you would not be able to access the forum's admin section.
