Currently, my news topics are not displayed on the fiapple theme. I know this is a theme based thing. I run phpnuke 6.5.

What do I change to get the theme to show the news topic icons?

are you running Nuke6.5?
If so, then downlaod the latest theme pack. Replace your story_home.html and story_page.html with the ones from the Pack.
We have upgraded the packs a few times. ONe upgrade was adding the topic image back to the News articles.
