Themes Default to Default theme after leaving PHPBB Profile
Hello everyone,
I read the Faq/Fix, it actually answered alot of my questions. Thanks Mikem, you are awesome. I did the fix indicated in the usercp_register file, but that really does not seem to be working.
In my PHPBB config, I have my default theme set and user_overide set to no.
In usercp_register, I took out the
Code:
theme = '$save_nuke_theme',
and commented out the query to the bbthemes table.
Now when I select a theme in "Your Account/themes" and go to my PHPBB profile, press submit, it is changed back to my default theme. Are there additional spots within the usercp_register file that I have to edit to ensure it does not keep switching my themes. It appears something is still getting written to the database regarding my theme from the PHPBB profile. Hope someone can help me, thanks in advance.
-Bill

I think there went something else wrong like forgot to upload or the files did not overwrite the other one right, because the fix is good I found it myself but forgot to submit it here so mikem looked for it himself.

I assure you that it works when you do everything right

Yes it does work
Mighty,
Yeah, you all are correct, it does work, this is where I screwed up, newbs and nuke 6 novice's listen up. You notice on Nuke 6.0 that the includes for the forums is actually located in the modules/Forums/includes dir. I was not aware that in 6.5 all the PHPBB include files were moved to /includes. I noticed in the PHPBB 2.0.5 upgrade that this was the case, all the PHPBB files that were were in modules/forums/includes under 6.0 are now under the root /includes directory. Since I upgraded from 6.0 and just overwrote everything, my includes directory under modules/Forums still existed, and the usercp_register I was editing was under this directory, not the one under the $root/includes directory. I will try and do some sort of write up for 6.0 upgraders, so this is more evident. It is hard finding documentation on any of these sites that says. Upgraded from Nuke6.0, listen up. Anyway, thanks to all who support this. I have to say I love all the cohesion going in the community lately, it is no longer all spread out, it is more centralized and easier to grasp. I appreciate all who put forth so much effort in making this so grand. Thank you for your time.
