Changing order of sorting of Content Pages
hi guys, I am using PHPNuke 7.5, which was upgraded from 7.3 I just dont know how to do this, but when I add any Content page, the newest page is added to the bottom. How do I get that page at the top? How do I get to have the newly added pages at the top?

Any mod or code hack or anything. Please reply ASAP, I am desperate!

I got this tip thru paradice from Bob Marion

Quote:
Easiest thing to do is to do a sql dump of the Content tables. Then in a text editor change the category ids to the order you want them in and up the category ids in the content pages data table to match the new order. Then you remove the old tables and import the new.

Ok Mikem, if this is easy, then I'd take it the hard way! I mean, once I do this, I'll get the order I'll need, but what will happen when I add a new page? It'll be sorted back into the old way. So how do I make this permanent? How to make the thing sort itself into newest at top?

I don't know how you would make it permanent. That would require some added PHP coding to the Content module.
You will have to apply the same method each time you add another Category.

Cant you ask someone to mod the Content module code? I am not good with PHP so I am stuck. I am sure, it could be done somehow. Please try to see if something could be done?

Try asking around in other forums, don;t limit your resources to just this one
I am sure someone out there has either done it or has the same idea.
