Why do you need to input Mail settings, dose'nt your host provide a mail server, 9 times out of 10 this is just a wrong Forum configuration setting.

You only need to enter mail settings if :

A, your host dose'nt allow mail (which is very rare)

B, you actually want to use a different Mail server like yahoo, aol, msn, a different domain mail server etc..

If your email function isnt working adding Mail settings isnt going to work either. Again its probably just a configuration setting. Found in admin.php select Forums and Configuration.

If you want to contact me through msn be my guest.
