Make sure you have uploaded ALL files, including the language ones. I hope it will help ... I have no other ideas

tss, good thing that I pass by so now and then to answer some posts

These errors mean that you filled in your config.php correctly and that your database exists. PHP-Nuke can correctly connect to the database, but it seems that your config table isn't loaded correctly in the database cause it returns empty values for the default language etc.
Make sure you have run nuke.sql in phpMyAdmin

I have this same problem. I removed the sql_database and reinstalled it from the nuke.sql file that came with my download. no effect.

So I guess the next question is how does one fix the config table?

Thanks,

What way did you remove the old database, did you just Drop the tables or compleatly remove the named database .

Did you remember to edit your config.php file after creating the new database, if your still having the same problem, its possible the config.php file is still pointing to the old database.

$dbhost = "localhost"; ( for Yahoo hosting services this is just "mysql" & not "localhost" other providers my varay)
$dbuname = "YOUR USERNAME FOR THE DATABASE"; (Usually same username for entering phpMyAdmin Panel)
$dbpass = "YOUR DATABASE PASSWORD"; (usually same for entering phpMyAdmin Panel)
$dbname = "YOUR DATABASE NAME";
$prefix = "nuke";
$user_prefix = "nuke";
$dbtype = "MySQL";

Where are you getting lost, please explain a little about how far you can get.

Can you get into phpMyAdmin (mySQL) ?

Do you have a web control panel are you allowed to have a database ?

From whom are you getting your hosting from and what package are you on ?

We need more information about your setup, the more you tell us the easier it will be to get this fixed for you......

If your able to get to the point where you have created a new database name, the next part is to click the word SQL followed by Browse use this to browse your PC for the file nuke.sql which is in folder sql that came with your nuke download. When you find that select it and click GO phpMyAdmin will upload the file to the selected database name you created. Thats its, theres notting eles to do in phpMyAdmin.
