I am very enthusiastic about using Nuke, however I am having difficulties following the install instructions. I have changed the Admin file (path) like it asked, and I have entered the database information into the config file. I have access to phpMyAdmin from nuke.hampsteadumc.org, but I do not know where to go from there. The instructions also stated about two Admin pages. Both hampsteadumc.org/admin.php and phpnuke.org/admin.php do not exist or have "no input." All of the php files and sql file are uplaoded in the root directory. How do I get the webpage to show correctly? Does the Wesite display into the MySQL, I do not understand how they cooperate...
Suggestions?

I see a folder tree with nothing

It could be a server problem, however php files nor html files (each seperately) do not display in the directory. The only thing different from my songlasses.org site is that this site has php5 enabled and frontpage extensions enabled. I am trying to change these settings, but a remove is not present. It is odd that I am inserting html files in the root directory and it is not showing up. I have a file called index.html (the same one that is used on songlasses) and it does not work. I have tried to use the install file for phpNuke but it is slightly above my head. I can edit these files, but I need step by step instructions.
IF anyone would like to give a quick and easy step by step guide in laymens terms, I would be most appreciative. Btw, I have phpMyAdmin running, but I do not know how to edit name titles correctly.

When you extract the PHP-Nuke package. In it will be some folders. One called HTML. Everything in that needs uploaded to the root. Leave the file structure intace. Don't change the foldernames or filenames.

Use PHP-nuke 7.6 and simplify your problems. Any version higher than Nuke 7.6 I cannot help with.

You will find that most everyone will give you the same answer, if it's above 7.6 then we simply don't know. If your webhost offers Power Tools through Fantastico, it's a safe bet to not use them to install nuke because it's guaranteed to be nuke 7.7 and up, all of which are buggy from the very start.

I wasted an entire weekend on Fantasticos version of nuke and I can tell you first hand, it's a waste of time. It's way easier and far less time consuming to install a completely patched version of nuke 7.6 than it is to install a buggy fantastico version and request bug fixes all over the net.

I have no experience with older versions, but I would think that they are somewhat similar, at least with administration.

I tried to login as administrator but it won't let me create a user/password. I have tried all possible combinations. I have a username and password, but it is not for the administrator. I have no clue how to make/get an admin account, or retrieve one that I might have unnoticeably made. Is there an email password for Administrator account?

When you first install nuke you have to create a "God" account. It's up to you if you want to use that account as your ID (I don't) or create your own seperate id as a Super User. The username/password combo is usually the same as when you installed nuke on your webserver.

This is obviously not my FTP is it? I created a username/password through superuser before even trying "God." I tried using what I thought for sure I had typed but it did not register. They never asked for a re-entry to my password, so that could be an issue. But it created another registered user with an administrator at the same time. I can use the registered user fine, but not admin.
*However, when I created the "superuser," I could not access through either, therefore I had to have phpnuke create and send me a new password. Neither that password nor the original "what I thought I typed works for the admin.

Yet I do not know what you mean by when I installed Nuke on webserver. The database user/pass is the same, so that's not it. Idk, help?
