Problem Loading Page- Just Me - 11-17-2006, 07:49 PM

Besides being banned what are the other possibilities if I get the error in Firefox that says Problem Loading Page? I haven't had the chance to go to a different house and check if me IP is banned, but I'm not even sure where I'd find that. In fact I don't know why I'd be banned in the first place. However, I know the site is up and that it works because I've asked 5 friends and seen it myself at my school. I'm not able to view anything on my server even items besides the php-nuke.

Is this a browser problem or and ban issue?

How can I solve it?

did you possibly activate a new block recently, if there was an error within that the page might no load. Try going to yoursite.com/modules.php?name=Forums

if you still have a problem try deactivating left-hand side blocks.

Firefox is having a problem loading the page because of errors within your sites scripts this doesnt mean your banned.

PS: if you cant get to admin.php to deactivate blocks download your blocks folder and then delete it from the server

I can't access anything on the server with out firefox coming up with the error Problem Loading Page. The blocks are all fine, the site stopped working for me when I was deleting some cookies from firefox I believe.

I've run into this same problem at another site I staff at and it turned out to be a connection problem somewhere between my home computer and the website I was trying to connect to.

Is there anyway to solve that?

In this case, it took a few weeks for wherever the problem was to be resolved. There was absolutely nothing that I could do about it.

That happened to me once because I put a bad block on the site and even after removing it via PHP-MyAdmin and everything, it still wouldn't load.

Dump every temp file you can. It worked for me great. Even spead up the computer, lol.

I use CCleaner from http://ccleaner.com

they even offer Secure File Deletion up to 7 passes.

(now I'm sounding like an advertisement. sorry)
