Is your "Enable account activation" set to None, User or Admin?

Set it to User and it will send out the e-mails. If it's set to none, people can register and login immediately I believe.

You should only need to alter that one setting for confirmation e-mails.

Just out of curiosity, when you first create an account, are you able to login right away?

Ok i know the way around this...

You have to go to your configuraton.php file (that isn't teh correct spelling but i dont ahve time to find out the right spelling)

and it is one of the options in there... You need to do it there not on the forum admin panel

If your not recieving any e-mails at all then you have a problem at the server level and not with your site.

You should recieve a confirmation e-mail at the address you used to setup your site, always.

Here's a simple test to see if you have a problem with your webmail:

Go to:

- http://yoursitename/Administration/Preferences/Mail New Stories to Admin
- Notify new submissions by email? = YES
- Email to send the message: Your e-mail address
- Subject, Message and Account don't matter.

Submit some news using the Submit News Option (do not use the admin submit).

If you get an e-mail it's a CMS setup problem, if you don't, it's server level.
