Upgrade from 7.3 - 7.4
Can someone please explain to me how to properly upgrade one of my current sites to the new 7.4 final?? Im trying to follow the upgrade directions but I think Im doing it wrong.

Do I just upload all the files in the HTML folder and overwrite when it asks?? I think thats wrong because that would mean that my config.php file would be overwritten as well. Please give me the long but simple noob directions for upgrading without killing my site.

I thought that all I had to do was upload the upgrade file "upgrade73-74" to the root and run it from my browser. I did that and it said the upgrade was complete but I doesnt show anything to support that. Also I noticed that in the admin panel I only have logout listed. There are no more icons in the administration panel. OMG Im lost :?

Any help would be great here lol

Thanks

1) Backup your site and database.
2) Upload the new version, answer yes to overwrite.
3) Edit the new config.php with the info from the one you backed up.
4) Upload the upgrade73-74.php to the root directory (where your mainfile.php is), and point your browser to it.
5) Delete the upgrade file.
