Silver2k, don't give up yet! Do you know what a static IP is? If not you can get one free from no-ip.com by signing up and use your own computer for a server and I have appserv which will install everything you need in one program. So stick around and ask questions please.

OK with an account at no-ip (which is free) you get a static IP address. A static IP address is one which stays the same every time you connect to the internet. That way your web sit will allways have the same url. I'd be glad to answer any more questions.

It appears almost all your questions HAVE been answered.

If you want someone to make a website for you and setup PHP-Nuke, etc, that costs money. It's more than likely going to cost you something either way to get a site started. :?

Your first place to start is you need a WEBSERVER(A PLACE TO STORE YOUR ENTIRE WEBSITE)
This can be BOUGHT on the internet. There is an amazing feature you can use on the internet, it is called SEARCH...
Step 2 you will need to do as the others suggested above. Start learning HTML, or go straight for the gusto and download PHP-Nuke and install it.

The services you need to run PHP-Nuke, or any site for that matter would be AVAILABLE when you sign up for a webserver. Linux box , Apache, MySQL etc.

You're only as dumb as you think you are. Nothing is that hard. Just takes some time, petience and common sense. Haste makes Waste

Thanx mike i know they were answering my questions and i appreciate that.

I know all the basic html because i used to make sites but with geocities wich is free and alot more easy now that i discovered php it seems to have alot more quality and i wanted to give it a try but i didnt realize that i had so sign up for millions of things and pay for almost every thing. It just seems like its getting alot more confusing everyday! :? Because i know that if i did pay for things everything would be alot easier but...i dont got the money to pay for it ops: so im just for now gonna stick to the free stuff.

So i think i will just do my self and every one a favour and forget about it and stop askin these questions, althogh i know you guys do your best to help but theres alot of things i didnt realize about php-nuke.

Thanx for all the help people, Bye!

Tripod offers a free hosting plan with 1 My SQL database, and php support...

I personaly pay for hosting, but it is cheap for what I get.

Try nukesupport.com for hints, and if you get stuck.

What kind of site were you planning on putting up anyway?
