It works for the DarkBlue/fiblack themes but I have no images for the DeepBlue or XPOlive. So try all themes so you can see as they change images for Downlaods and Weblinks

It works with smartdark on my site and when I removed the image from the theme images dir it reverted back to the default image. Sucess!!!!
Also worked for fiapple.

Do deepblue and xpolive both use the same images? Dark blue and fiblack worked fine, but the other 2 used what looks like the default images.

Yes XPOlive and DeepBlue should be using the Default images. they don't have matching Download and WEblink images.
You can right click the image/properties to see the path.

I thought about that, but do you think people will want to overwrite their original index files for those modules?

I added it to the FAQ. Now I need to convert a Downloads/index.php and weblinks index.php then zip them up and make them available...
If you have these two files already converted for this hack and they are from the original Nuke6.0 send them my way if you don't mind.
The same method works for Nuke6.5 BTW. But I am not sure if there are other file changes. So I would need to make a d/l for Nuke6.0 and 6.5

Mine are not from the original php-nuke 6.0. What I meant was to make a tutorial like you did for the forum reg hack ( the old one) and not the whole index files. By now many will have modded those files and if they overwrite them without knowing then.....problems.
