Add Story is your News postings that show up on your main page in the middle. If you have News Module in your Home. They are like little Articles or News postings.

Content is for building pages for your Nuke site from scratch. They can contain HTML or whatever.
Those are good to create for basic Information pages, Copyrights, etc.

You'll just have to play around with it...it takes some time to figure out, but you'll get it.
