Forum News On This Site?
mikem what version of Forum News are you using on this site?
I have been "tweaking" PortedMods ForumNews module as you can see here. After a few hours of working with it I thought I would ask here as to maybe save some time. No sense recreating the wheel.
Thanks in advance.

It's our own version.
The reason we have not released it is because it is theme sensitive. Meaning we have th eadjust the index.php to match each theme we put on the site.
It also does not have the added features of portedmod's Advanced Forum News, but it works for our needs.
If you want to use it, let me know. If you are using the VereorLCARS theme pack, I still have the index.php for our phpBB News module that matches it too :-)

I would at least love to take a look at your work, You can see what I have done from the link above or here ( http://www.thedaggers.net/modules.php?name=ForumNews). I am just testing it right now on a public forum. The Ported Mods ForumNews hack had some bugs that made it not work with 6.7 but I fixed those quickly. Then it was just a matter of tweaking it out for my needs. If you would email it to me that would be great. Even if its just for the sake of admiring your work, which is fun for me. From our site you can also see how far DarkBlue can be taken! It just keeps getting better. Thanks again for all your hard work mikem and NM staff!

Yo
mikem,
I would still love to take a look at this. The one I have tweaked right now ( http://www.thedaggers.net) is working great and I like it a lot, but it is causing some of my background images in my center forum block to not load. By checking out yours I am sure I can solve my problem as well as get some good mikem ideas!
Thanks!

Much appreciated mikem. Just off the top of your head, do you have any idea why my existing forumnews hack would cause some of my background images to not show up in me forum center block? Some show up and others do not. If I use the regular news module things are fine.

The only thing I can think of is if your existing Forum news hack index.php file has any CSS tyles hardcoded in it or if it has it's own BG color or images hardcoded in the file.
