Ok i just need to no how to install this gallery mod.
THat you guys have here on the site.
I have beed to the site but there realy is not any kind of info on how to install it on nuke.
So if the newbee could get some help or a link to where it will walk me threw step by step i would be thank full

First of all you need to turn off Safe Mode for your domain in apache/php

Next you need to upload the MyGallery (Default) as a module! Example /module/MyGallery

You will need to create a directory to store your album. This can be done in the root of html/MyAlbum or within /module/MyAlbum

Next following the instructions you will need to chmod as shown in the readme or Telnet / SSH into your box. Goto the /module/MyGallery directory and type

Leave this session open you will need it shortly.

Then point your browser to

http://YourDomain.com/module/MyGallery

Go thru the installation! It will tell you if anytying is missing! Works best with Imaagemagick! Password is required and really is only used if you are going to be using the Remote Gallery option otherwise it inherits the Nuke Admin to add photos etc....

After a succesful installation and before running. You need to go back and secure your program by running

Code:

sh secure.sh

from your above telnet / ssh

I got nothing against mygallery or the other gallery mod but the easiest one to use and install is Gallery over at http://gallery.menalto.com

it is the easiest one to install and will work with php-nuke 'out-of-the-box'.

just follow the instructions for using it with php-nuke, which amounts to uploading it as a module into oyur modules directory. I found the instructions rather explicit and after the upload of files it took me less than 3 minutes to create the two extra folders required and do a little chmod'ing beofre then after the setup, which is done simply by following the link to the module on your menu block.

All these other gallery scripts for php-nuke just take too much manual editing of files. Atleast for my tastes they take too much work to get running.

The instructions given are for Gallery.menaltoc.om it's on sourceforge!

MyGallery that was quoted in the above instructions is the default name for the Gallery installation. Did not want to confuse the way in what would be seen via the installation!

The Gallery used here at Nukemods is the one from http://gallery.menalto.com
You will need to get some updated files from this site for it to work with Nuke6.5

yes the one i want is the one on this site ..

You say to follow the ins for the install of nuke..
But i cant find these ,does it come in the tar
Or is there a link you can give me that tells me how to install this with nuke?

Follow the links provided above and download the latest version 1.3.4. I have just updated my old 1.3.3. to 1.3.4 yesterday. The archive is a tar. You can download Winrar to decompress the folder. Inside, you will see a README file. Read that file very closely. If you do not have a shell account and use Cpanel, read very closely section 3: HOW DO I INSTALL GALLERY IF I HAVE ONLY FTP ACCESS?It works out of the box if you follow the directions and if your host has all the related graphic package installed NETPBM or the equivalent ones. Follow closely the chmod instructions.
Note: If you downloaded 1.3.3 there is a known warning error message related to a database line 35. Version 1.3.4 fixed that issue. So, go for 1.3.4 period.
