anyone know a good free site where i can host my nukemod?ive tried lycos and dont like the results.

I'm hosting on http://www.tripod.lycos.co.uk First thing first, create account, activate mysql database and upload phpnuke files.

Once up install, blah blah blah.

You should also use Lycos UK FTP (get dreamweaver MX) thats what i use for quick uploads. If not then your a n00b that needs to go back to geocities. meh

edit: OH YEAH THERE IS a world of difference between www.tripod.com and www.tripod.lycos.co.uk!!!

So you best investigate the UK Version before dropping all chances!

lol...I've been a web designer for about 5 years now. I'm no programmer, but I do know enough to get by. In my opinion Dreamweaver MX is a huge pain in the rear! I have been using Homesite for ages now and absolutely love it. And I can ftp directly from the program while I'm working on it. I never use the feature though and ftp using my good ol' SmartFTP (free program!). I guess I just wanna say that you don't need all those fancy expensive programs to get a website up and running. Now for graphics, that's another story (I love my photoshop!). Hunt around for some free programs. I found an awesome editor like homesite for free one time, but forget the name right now. If I remember it, I'll post it here.

If ya are a noob, you can always pay someone to set it up for you. I charge a fee, but there are others who are even cheaper.

Just to clarify. It is PHPNUKE you are trying to setup and get running, not nukemods. Our site is nukemods, which is using PHPNUKE as it's CMS(Content Management System)

I`d just like too say that anyone who uses a webdesign program for uploading is a complete n00b.Like babyjade i use smartFTP a free professional FTP uploader/downloader program.
Oh btw i`d also like to get rid of that annoying lycos frame.I say we amass an army and nuke lycos,idiots or what?

I got dreamweaver mx .. I don;t use it to upload files coz i find it very slow ...

U sure that Mx upload faster files than an ftp program??

Then Wizard don't go back to geocities to set up ur phpnuke site .. it won't work even if you are a genious ok ?? :wink:

There is actually no a single php/sql hosting site other then lycos... I've searched all around after lycos.uk put up that horrorable AD frame.
