colors - I want my site similar to nukecops in that the forum is set apart in the color scheme. http://www.hillelforum.org/modules.php?name=Forums

you can see the border and everything around it is different colors - i have tried looking in the css file but found no pic references. any ideas?

i have deleted the background pic (lines.gif).

Are you wanting to modify your Forum template to more match your Nuke theme?

IF so, then you should actually use a different Forum template to modify. fiapple is not the easiest template to "start" with and modify.

All of the colors, graphics etc. for the Forum template are in the modules/Forums/template/Your Template/files and images folder.
check also the theme_info.cfg file for your Forum template.
