logo in phpbb forum - 04-19-2003, 01:27 PM

Ok where are the settings for changing the logo? I over-wrote the default helius theme logo in phpbb but how do i get there to be just one logo and so that it fits the size instead of being squashed up and in 2 logo images as such:

thank you!

that logo in the Hlius thheme in the Forums is called from the
overall_header.tpl file

The image size is harcoded. You can probably get away with just removing this from that code
Code:
width="130" height="23"

what did you use to edit that file?
Make sure you only use Editplus or UltraEdit or a certified PHP editor or certified HTML editor. Don't use Dreamweaver or Frontpage expecially. Messes the files up big time.

Simply removing those width and height variables for the logo shouldn't affect the Forums width.

i used notepad.. but i have cutehtml too if that'll do? i hope i didn't mess up anything :? i think i might've tried to change the table width because just taking the image width away seemed to stretch the table so i thought the cells must have specific widths put on.. 8O

eww..no don't use Notepad, or Cute-html editor.
You really should get a good editor like Editplus or UltraEdit.

ok umm anyidea how i can do a quick fix? please
should i just make the logo smaller or could i make the forum a smaller width? thank you!

i tried restoring with the original file again. then all i did was take the image width and height tags out like you said and it's still stretching, can't the forum width be 100% instead of a width or is it?

Your going to have to take a different approach.
The logo in the overall header in the Helius theme in the Forums is actually two parts.
logo1.gif
and
logo2.gif

Restore everythign back to the way it was for now. You'll have to rethink how you can get your own logo in there.
You may have to strip down the overall header file or rebuild the html part to suit your needs. I can't do it FOR you since this is a personally preference and customization. The best I can do is give you advice :-)

I have to empty logo's for the forum so instead of phpBB creating communities there wont show up anything
