No HTML in Sig.
I am having a problem getting html code to work in the sig. Everytime I change my sig with the html code and go back and check my profile then the html code is gone. Any thought on why this happends or how to fix it. I am using phpnuke6.5. Thanks in advanced.

i was having the same problem, you see there is a limit (default is 250chr if im not mistaken) in the html code you can write.go to the forum config and set up how many chr you 'll allow for a sign.

Thanks for the response, I had already changed the character amount to 500 but still no luck. I am under the allotted amound but the html code just disappears. Did changing the character amount fix your problem?

I have the same problem too. It seems like when the sig is added, something in the code of the site changesi think it replaces the < with & and > with &
When I put the sig in straight through the database, it worked fine. (Obviously this isn't a good solution)

I know this might be stupid, but did you guys make sure HTML code is ALLOWED in your Forum Admin Configuration..I'm sure you did...
I've never used html in my sig, so I don't know whether it works or not.

Yes, of course :P
The problem only arises after you try to enter it through the site.
If the site was upgraded, the old signatures are retained, but if someone makes a change, the code gets messed up.

ok, I have got some html code to work now for some reason. But here is what has been messing me up. I can set the sig characters to allow 9999 but it dont matter. Will still only allow about 255 characters. Can someone test this and see if you have the same problem. If you put in anything over 255 character is will just dissappear.
Thanks,
Jessie00721

I don't know if this is the best way to fix it but in your_account/index.php
Code out
Code:
$user_sig = htmlspecialchars($user_sig);
