Nuke Install
Hi, I made a site with phpnuke, it was a fresh site.

Now, i have another site with already phpbb running.. it has several users ongoing forums etc.

They like me to change to phpnuke,
i have some doubts

1. If i run sql, the existing tables for phpbbs will be affected ?
2. Can i import the whole phpbb to nuke ? forums members etc ?
3 Or can i install nuke, parallel to phpbb and then ask the guys to change to new site

Which is easy one ? anyone pls help me

I was in the same situation as you a little while ago. It's possible to take your BB forum's data and import it into Nuke. It just takes someone that's good with PHP. What I did is, back up my phpBB forums, give the backup to my friend, he put it on a naked Nuke install, then I backed that site up. After that I had to drop all the tables in my Nuke database, then imported the back-up.

After that, all the users, forums, and posts were transfered successfully (with the exception of 3 forums, which I just re-made, no trouble).

I'm sorry I couldn't help with the technicle stuff, but I hope I cleared up what you could do.

Forums/posts and members can be ported to nuke, go to www.nukeresources.com and look in their download section for the php script to do so.
