Helo i have a big problem with my site!

first my site has been going off too much and my service provider told me it i was being DOS attacked, it happened more than once now, well rite now my site is down .

my site is a clan's site and i guess somebody is trying to be mean lol, well, i guess it was a flood, and i installed the noflood hack to see, and i didnt get attact for a whole day yesterday but today its down again....

is there a way i could fix that? cause i installed sentinel but i dont think sentinel handles DOS attact or whatever its happening :? i just dont have idea what's going on and if its really a flood attack and/or if that even exist, in any other way to call it.....

plz gimme links to a good noflood or whatever hack works to avoid DOS attacs or flood/spam attacks, i know you guys know how to go through that, thank you

also, i've got an error on my site, about the page_header.php, its about the gzip compression, something happened after i disabled it, that it shows me:

i was trying to delete that on the php code but then my site went down and i havent tried it yet.... :? well if you guys know why this happen please help me....

and my last one, i feel that im bothering too much already, Yesterday my site was bein viewed on Mozilla firefox and netscape, today it just works on IE.... it just shows a blank page when accessin forums and such.... does it have to do with the gzip compression aswell? what would be rather, to have it off or on? and does it affect the site's speed in any way?

As far as iam aware that code error is refering to your database being either a Gzip or not, either way what do you have set in your Forums Admin phpbb

General Admin : Configuration : Enable GZip Compression Yes or No

Try those settings when your site comes back on line.

Does anyone know how to turn off the gzip funtion in phpadmin . Maybe if he turned it off from there it wouldl load the site and he can get into the admin panel ......

sentinel handles dos go to nuke sentinel administraion and turn on

DOS proteccion: ON
htaccess path: .htaccess
staccess path: .staccess


and for the error go to wherever line and file is telling you that is the error ( in this case /includes/page_header.php on line 59") and replace:

"ob_start(): output handler 'ob_gzhandler'

with:


/* ob_start(): output handler 'ob_gzhandler");*/

btw, somethin else, realquick.....

If i turn on the Santy protection, some of my members get the "Proably Santy Worm Attack" warning showing up while they navigate tru the forums, and thats using Firefox..... :roll: now i wonder what's that..... i turned off the santy protection, but i wonder if that means a risk for my site...
