it says in one of the read me files that a program should be running and to get it running are 2 shot-cuts to open the progs in the Phptraid folder, there is nothing there except "back-up" info.

You are installing php-nuke??
You can install it for free at sites like lycos.com
And make sure you read the Guide2Nuke

Yeah and if Mighty can do it with only one eye, then anyone can

The readme's and Upgrade files do make the assumption that the end user does at least have some sort of understanding of the needs involved to setup a Nuke site.
I can admit the first time I tried to setup Nuke, I was LOST. The thing that gave me the most trouble was figuring out how to setup the MySQL database tables.

I was lost too, but I went to this site and everything turned out well

Notice Mighty's sig. He is somewhat of a comedian...haha.
He's right though which is sad.

When you get the Nuke package, there is a folder called HTML. IN there is your complete site all intact and already setup in the directory structure it needs to be.

All you do is upload the entire contents of the HTML folder AS-IS to the Main directory of your Site where your index page would normally be.
The main file you access when your stuff is all uploaded is the index.php which is in the same directory as the config.php(which needs configured to connect to your MySQL database.).

ok, i tried creating subdirectories that match the html directory of Nuke6.5, i am only allowed to go 3 directories deep though and im stuck now. are u saying that the enitre html folder goes on the top directory?just cram everything from html/ on down into the top directory where the index.php is? if so, how can this be done, it only allows me to upload files, not folders, btw, i downloaded FTP Explorer, does that help anything?
