Question about phpbb port to nuke
Im new to nuke.. just installed 6.0 last week.. i have a phpbb2 forum and was wondering what that phpbbport i see around is.. does it allow your phpbb2 forum to integrate with phpnuke? or is it just giving your php nuke forum a phpbb look and feel. Also when upgrading to 6.5, will you lose the info on your site? do you have to set up downloads and links again? just a couple of questions i had..im wanting to upgrade to 6.5 to be up on things but in no hurry if its gonna upset my site... also does the php 6.5 downloads have the upload scripts for files and images? lol if it does im not waiting..

phpBB you see "around" integrates with Nuke6.0 as a Module.
You can get a little more info from the link in our Affiliates block, phpBB2Nuke.
There is an importer script there that wil enable you to import all your data from a standalone phpBB into what they like to call Tom's port(PHPBB2Nuke)

Once you have your phpBB imported into Nuke as the phpBB "port", you can then upgrade to Nuke6.5 using the upgrade script found on this site.

NONE of your data will be lost if you follow the necessary steps.
Always BACKUP your database before EVER making any changes or upgrading to be safe... :-)

Thanks I have successfully converted to phpbb2 port to nuke 6.0. Everythings running smooth except i noticed in downloads section they were out of line..possibly theme? no biggie..anyway my next question is if i upgrade to phpnuke 6.5, the one in your downloads section.. will it cause problems to my site? I have put in alot of mods like enhanced downloads, advanced downloads block, ms topsites, all these were for phpnuke 6.0 and im wondering when i run this update what will happen to them? will they upgrade also or will i need to go and get the updates to them and have them ready to switch over? thanks for your help.

Confused
I have Nuke 6.5 running (using defaults including default forum).

I use phpBB 2.0.4 for my forum.

I want to use Nuke as front end and phpBB as forum what do I have to do?

Do I have to port the phpbb using Tom's Port? Assume I don't want to retain data.

Also I would like to use Helius as the theme/GUI for nuke and phpbb... what does this entail? Does it complicate matters

Mike
