Space at top of module
I'm running into a problem with some Nuke 8.0 modules. On the standard modules with nuke, the right block fix
Code:
define('INDEX_FILE', true);
works with no problem. But on custom modules that line of code puts a space in at the top of the module. You can see this at: http://www.blackhorsefaction.org/mod...e=Captain_List

Any ideas on a fix for this?

Is this a browser specific issue because it all looks fine in Firefox?

Of course this assumes I understood the question correctly.

When I add the code like I did on this page: http://www.blackhorsefaction.org/mod...e=Captain_List

There is a gap between the header and the module. The left and right blocks are up near the header but the module sits down below it all. When I leave the code out as in: http://www.blackhorsefaction.org/mod...e=Soldier_List

The module sits right at the top, right at the header, with no gap or space.

I've been using Firefox and see the gap with it. I just tried it with IE and didn't see it, so I'm guessing it is a browser problem, though it's still odd that you see it fine with Firefox, Duke...and I don't. I'll try clearing my cache and see if that helps.

**I put the code in on this page:http://www.blackhorsefaction.org/mod...e=Soldier_List and it came out fine, so my only guess is it is due to the size of the table, though I'm not sure why it drop it down in that manner.

It also moves the module down on this page: http://www.blackhorsefaction.org/modules.php?name=Map :?

That gap I do see in IE as well as Firefox.

I misunderstood your first post because I thought you were seeing a gap in your right blocks and had no idea you were referring to the center block so my apologies.

This page here does not load correct initially but justifies to the header once the "Burning Sea News" block finishes loading.

Yep, works perfectly.

I too see a gap in this page as well.

I have to admit though that I'm not on the same page as you when it comes to "entering the code" on specific pages. You should only require the code changes within your theme.php as seen in this thread:

http://www.nukemods.com/modules.php?...ht+side+blocks

I'm not entirely sure if you want to hear this either but if your not totally locked in to your site and version of phpnuke, I'd strongly suggest checking out the ravennuke.76 http://ravenphpscripts.com/

Many people believe that anything over 7.6 is fundamentally flawed so ravenuke took 7.6 and secured it up the whaz00. I personally can't speak much for versions over 7.8 because that version was a complete disaster when I last tried it which is what made me ultimately move to 7.6.

Thanks for confirming the problem. Sorry I wasn't clearer about it the first time. I wasn't happy with the bugs in the latest versions of Nuke either and was hoping 8.0 was going to be the cure. Sure doesn't look that way. :x

All I can say is my problems virtually disappeared when I went with ravennuke and I rest easier knowing my site not only works but is far more secure than it was on any other version of phpnuke.

I don't think you have anything to lose by trying it.

I assume it requires a reinstall, and is not an upgradeable replacement?

The safest bet IMHO is performing a test install and ensuring your db backups work on the new CMS. You can install it in a subfolder such as html/ravennuke, configure, test, etc., and once you have it all working to your satisfaction, install in your html folder.

I'm not saying this is the only way to do it but its how I prefer to test things prior to migrating personally. This method also gives you plenty of time to ensure your theme is the way you like it without worrying about the time constraints and possible issues that arise in going live under a tight deadline.

I also use Ravenscripts nuke. And I believe they have a conversion script out on there site. I do know that I went from phpnuke 7.9 to ravenuke 7.6 and all i did was backup my 7.9 sql just the user and forums parts. And transfered it over to the 7.6 version.
