Why are you a webmaster?
I'm curious as to the reasons you choose to be a webmaster. Specifically, what are the events that lead to you having your own site, what was/is your motivation and what kind of site is it you run?

I've been interested in web design for a very long time and wanted to run my own website, but I wanted to run something unique, a service that wasn't yet provided.
Which lead me to designing and running www.clantactics.com

EDIT: P.S. I'm back 8)

Thats too bad man. Tell me, is there anything about being on the computer you find intersting?

I think part of why I enjoy it so much is because all of my sites are very diverse from each other. I have a gaming site, 2 community chat sites, a game movie making site, a hobby site and a few more in the works. I also staff at a few other sites such as a webmaster resource and a new, tutorial based site for game skinning.

My guild needed someone to do it and no one else was stepping up. I figured there had to be someone else more qualified, but with time running out and no one stepping forward, I decided to see what I could do and here I am. Besides I love being on the computer.

Do you enjoy being a webmaster now or is it more just being done as a sense of duty toward your guild?

I enjoy it. I enjoy implementing new features to the site and all the other behind the scenes stuff. It gives me something focused to do instead of just surfing the web or chatting somewhere.
