Your Webhost
I'm curious, since I'm looking for a new webhost I thought I'd ask for some input here as to possible future hosts.
I'm currently using Canaca.com, Serverfly and Powweb. Personally I hate them all and need to shorten the list substantially. The only good think with having 3 hosts is I can use close to a terabyte of bandwidht per month.
Who is your webhost, what do they offer, and why do you like/dislike them?

I'm using www.dreamhost.com
Great host. 20 gigs of storage and 1TB of transfer for 9 bucks with a free domain registration.
You gain 160mb of storage and 8gb of transfer a week as well.
Never had a single problem with them. Check em out.

Thats for sure. I've looked at them a few months ago and have yet to contact them to see if I could run a gaming server and perhaps my websites from one dedicated rig.

Just so you know, this is most likely a shared hosting environment with a package that is way, way, oversold. Running any kind of dynamic website or Content Management System may cause you nothing but grief.
Essentially, you get what you pay for.

ahhhh...
What about for storing large files?
nevermind, that's a dumb idea, since my personal server should be arriving tomorrow!!
Nice new Dell Poweredge. I'll only host the large files from it, like Media and stuff...
I currently use Thunderhost. I'm not to sure if it's shared (doubtful) but I paid $64 a year for 2gigs of space, domain name, 100gigs Bandwith, and the unlimited basics. Of course, when they got bought out, the customer service totally took a flop and ever since I can never get in contact with any of the morons that work there.
Their website used to be super unique too. It was black and green (My favorite) and just looked killer. They had a flash nav bar with a spinning picture of a wicked computer on it, and it was just a cool site... Untill they were bought out by some non customer relating @$$hole, who changed the site to some basic template that truly and utterly sucks...
Ok, enough ranting.

I don't know anything about them but if your site is dynamic and can run the db as well as whatever modules you have installed on your CMS with no hiccups then they must be allright.
If you want to get a good idea of how your webhost measures up, I'd suggest doing a search in google to the effect of:
(for example): your webhost name reviews.
