Nuke6.5 "bug"? in your download - 04-19-2003, 05:19 PM

I'm not sure but I just downloaded the nuke6.5.tar.gz and all the php files such as config.php when i open them in notepad it doesnt go downwards but goes acrross if you no wat i mean. This makes it very difficult to edit, and will this still work? hope so becuase i am already half way thru uploading. 8O

Never Never Never Use notepad, wordpad, frontpage, DreamWeaver, etc to edit php files, use editpad, ultraedit, phpedit or similar instead.

I added a note about this at my fixes site and since all new members are sent a PM with a link to the post it's very likely most will stop making this mistake.

Notepad sucks and NEVER open them in Word - but I have been using wordpad for a while now with no problem. One they are on the site I use the built-in editor (cuteftp) which makes it very easy becuase of the lines index.

Just my .02

You're right Notepad sucks but I do use it sometimes, and I think dreamweaver is good to, it also has the lines numbers
