Graphic & file embedding on new php pages?
Hello there...

I've created several new .php pages and have uploaded them into my sites/html folder and they work perfectly.

http://fa-clan.yis.us/yisfapaypalmemberships.php

(the paypal buttons are encrypted so I can't use them has a templete but they do work)

http://fa-clan.yis.us/clanmemberbios.php

As you can see I've gotten familiar with the coding and format of these new additions and they are identical with the current "army theme" I'm using. Now within the forum itself if I want to create a post and include either an image or embed a file in a text link for download I would use either of these formats and they work fine has long as the file or pic is uploaded.

1. red10thmountian

Download

However on these new pages which are accessible thru our membership block I can't seem to use either format to include an image (yes it is uploaded into the modules/forum/images dir) or to use a text embedded file or link.

What I'm trying to do is on our clan paid membership page. I'd like to change the members name into a clickable link which will take the clicker to a seperate page where I'll include a special bio on that player and include pic's..

Any help would be appreciated. I'm learning and really enjoy this forum product, so thanks again!

Rick

Hmmm, really?

See my examples? I gave you two webpages to look at. Each is a newly created page (using either html or .php). Now what I want to do is add embedded files, files that will link to other areas.......without actually having the weblink seen.

Look at the picture in my 1st post (this is from a post within a php forum, which is why I included the other 2 weblinks so you can go and see)

This Picture allows you to click it and it brings you to another server (embedded file), Also look at the text....the word DOWNLOAD (another embedded file). Once clicked allows you to download the file itself.

My question is....can this format be added to new .php pages and work like it does within the forums themselves?

I ask because each time I try to use the same syntax all I get is the command lines visable around the test on the page itself.

Thanks

Rick

do this on your php pages

Code:
echo "<img_src>";
and this for HTML

Code:
<img_src>
These forums won't allow the attribute of ="PATH" to be included, and I had to use the underscore to illustrate a space, otherwise all you get is "img"
