ewwwww :?

Javascripts are out of my league.
Obviously there is something in the script that conflicts with gif animations. Have you tried contacting Daz over at forumimages since that's where the script came from? I know he's hard to get a hold of. You may be better off finding him at http://phpbb.com Forums.

Is this what you meant by hanging animations?

Hehe just kidding sorry I couldn't resist myself.

As to your problem I saw that on your site but have no idea what the problem could be? Do you know how fast the host machine is? Can you see the CPU usage in like a CPanel or something? Even though it is just a simple scroll code only thing I could think of is the animated gif and the scrolling java are both competing for CPU overhead.

Personally I find scrolling text annoying anyways I would just not use the scrolling text and put some kind of static newsflash type block somewhere to alert your viewers of your important messages. But thats just my opinion, and you know what they say opionions are like

Yeah searched the http://phpbb.com site and some others but haven't found anything. To bad well i guess i take it of thenm, thanks for the responses tho.

(About contacting Daz and i sawe this on his site and i quote:

am not going to be producing themes/graphics/files for the time being and, although this could be viewed as being a selfish move in some ways, I am also bowing out of providing the high level of support I give at phpBB. I will, of course, still provide support for the Forum Images Themes.

Quote:
The reason for this is the severe limitations in my understanding of PHP (and programming in general). I really would rather not have to do this as what I am trying to achieve with (usually) phpBB is nothing technically advanced in that it only serves to refine/adapt what is already there, but getting support for such things would largely seem to be beyond me. Apart from the generous assistance of people like Black Fluffy Lion & SamG I am on my own and do feel that imposing on their time is not the right thing to do. Therefore I will have to take time out to learn how to program - it will slow down development time considerably as having to code both the PHP & HTML, make the graphics as well as produce the documentation can be a rather time consuming process.
but like i said thanks anyways. (sorry for the long post.)

:P And thanks cyber you putted a big smile from my left to right ear on my face!

Woot Mikem you just reached 500 posts on your own forum!!! What are you going to do with that new Chevy Corvair you just won yourself?

Wait wasn't there some disclaimer that owners of the forum can't be included in such contests and all that legal mumbo-jumbo?

***racing for 500 posts, only 450+ more to go ***
