Help with Flash sig's in 7.3 forum - 09-27-2004, 04:34 PM

Hi, It's me again ops: With your help, I got my flash logo and a small movie playing to the right of it. http://www.nukenews.us if you want to take a look.
Now I have made a signature for one of the members, I just haven't figured out how to get it to show up and play.
I'm not very familiar with code (php-nuke or html). but I have something like this:
Quote:
<object classid="clsid27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,29,0" width="380" height="200">
<param name="movie" value="http://www.nukenews.us/DATA%20UPLOADS/Maverick.swf">
<param name="quality" value="high">
<embed src="rightsideflashlogo.swf" quality="high" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="380" height="200"></embed></object>
But of course this won't fit into the 255 charactors allowed in the sig box, so I'm lost again. Is there a place where you place the "flash" code in the Nuke site, then just call-up the swf in the sig box?
Any help will be greatly appreciated, and thanks in advance.

why not just export the flash file as an animated gif, or can you do that in flash?

The gif (even at it highest quality setting) doesn't look near as good. I may not know what I'm doing there either. But It looks "trick" a a flash or html image.
I have seen really good looking flash sig on other sites, I just don't know how they did it.

I thought I would follow this up, just in case another "Noob like me" was searching this topic.
I great guy named viperxp45 over at Nuke Cops forum gave me this:
Code:
<object>
<embed src="http://xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/Movie12.swf" width="400" height="100"></embed>
</object>
Quote:
remember u have to edit the size to meet ur needs and also enable the html... in your forum configeration,,, ask ur admin .. /the " http:// xxxxxlink "to your swf file or ....also u may have to add the embed,object tags in the configeration forums ( html tags). good luck hope this will help you...
It's short, sweet and it works great!
