how come when i post news on my site but going to add story in the admin cp i add the story but it doesnt appear on the main page and it doenst appear in the main admin cp when you go download a little bit where it says edit or delete

First is your news module set to home?

Did you tell it to publish in home?

Did you tell it to syndicate the story?

Do you have any news hacks added, or just standard news module?

ok i got that problem resolved so i just replaced the admin/modules/stories.php and it worked but now when i post it actually works and appears on the home page but the topic image is messed up i cant see it even tho i selected a topic in the add story. and also there is now of those two images that are like a little envalope and someother one.
please help someone

nevermind i got it lol
i didnt see the drop down so i thought that associated topics is selct topic because it has checkboxes of the topic that i have

Check to make sure your images are where they are supposed to be. Look in topics to see if they are displaying there.

What little envelopes? Are you talking about the x'd out images or something else?

those two images that are the envalope the print i thing i think but not sure...

Those images are for the options. One is for a printer friendly page and the other is to send the page to a friend.

You do have them. Look on the page where the actual news item is displayed, they are in a seperate block on the lower right hand side.
