PHPBB Forums Help - 12-27-2007, 09:28 AM

All,
Not sure exactly how to ask but here it goes. Here is my Site so Far
okatvriders

and here is my Forum

OkATVRiders.com :: Index

Its the typical Php BB from them Zaron Media....

Now after looking on the Themes here for the Portal System. I found the Pack Boyz and exactly what im looking for. Now im fairly new to NUke sites and was wondering. What must I do to get the Packboyz Theme to work and start working on my website and incorporate my already working forums into the mix...Will it work correctly? I guess im asking, does NUKE work with PhpBB?

Thanks
Alan

From looking at your site I do not see a phpnuke website installed what you get from this website is just the theme(template) you need to have a phpnuke website for the theme to work.

As the phpnuke website does have a forum included it will take some work to covert your forum as everything is in database.

Your correct. It is not a PHP Nuke website. I plan on getting PHP Nuke 6.5 or higher and then using the Pack Boyz Them as my Forum is Pack boys but in Php BB...Now what i wanted to know is what must i do to keep my Forums and all posts and users? Is that possible and if so, what must i do?

Thanks
Alan

phpnuke 6.5 is a old one there quite few versions the latest is 8.1 I am using 7.8s so you could check on that.

As for your posts and users in old forum and transferring to phpnuke will take work will have to check on it how it can be done.

Ravennuke 7.6 without a doubt is the best phpnuke package you can get. It may not be as feature rich as some of the other packages you can get but it's secure, reliable and stable.

If it's important to you to have dependability over bells and whistles, ravennuke is the way to go.

I am using phpnuke platinum 7.6b5 on one of my websites.
There lots of versions out is just use the one you are comfortable with and you will have learn how to use it like any other program like windows, internet explorer, firefox.
