Guys i'm starting a new website and i want to use one of the desings but when i download it i don't know how to edit it i'm new please help. ops:

well did you download PHP-nuke? and installed it? if so all you need to do is download a theme and upload the files into the folder "themes" in your site , like if you downloaded... smartdark for example make a new folder under themes named Smartdark and put everything in the download there

after you finish installing nuke and the mysql database you should be able to use the themes here

where do i download the mysql

oh boy lol

well mysql is not something you download, its something a host /website host gives you , go to www.tripod.co.uk for a free cheap php host and mysql host its a good site for beginners to learn ,they'll give you a database and in the guide you'll see how to edit your config.php to match that database
first you need to have an account/host and upload everything and download the package "Nukesql" im pretty sure its on downloads here

Ok look this is what i did.

1. I download php-nuke 6.5
2. I download it the design
3. i subscribe to tripod.
4. i can't find where to upload the images.
5. I don't know where to edit my page and have it ready.
6. I get frustrated.

Go to tripod website, Log in..
Activate PHP4U and mysql.. (if u dont know how to do these, refer to their FAQ) than extract PHPNuke 6.5, upload html folder into ur FTP directory (If you dont know how to get there, refer to tripods FAQ) anyway.. after u have uploaded files.. edit config.php and put the mysql info..after that go to phpMyAdmin.. (Donno how to get there? It's in TRIPODS FAQ) and RUN queries on database from a file -- File is located in sql folder of PHPNuke 6.5.. go to yourwebsite.blabla.com/admin.php and create a GOD Admin

You're ready to go..
