Selectable User Status Help - 04-11-2005, 10:51 AM

Hello, I run a website for my Supergroup in City of Heroes, and I was wanting to make a block that would show who's in game at any given time. Without access to COH's db, the info in the block will be from the users themselves (they would have to log in, go to the "I'm on" or whatever page and select "Online", this putting them on the list block). I know it sounds pretty silly, but it would be a lot easier than having to log into the game just to see if someone's on. Can anyone help me out with this (as in, I don't even know where to start to write either the "Online Block" or the "Click here to Show Online" selection page")? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

First of all you have to consider wether this would work, sure it's possible.
But are going to be bothered to log in to the site and change thier status to online, then when they have finished playing change thier status back to offline?

Well, most of them are sitting on it logged on anyways. I fully understand what you're getting at and realize that this isn't nearly 100% efficient, but they are asking for something like this and I was just trying to come up with a way to do it.
