Upload and I don't get along - 10-02-2004, 11:03 AM

Okay...where do I begin?

I uploaded the SPChat script. I can see the module for it...yay...but that is where the good news stops.

I go to set-up the Super Admin and regular accounts and I can't find them. I have been trying to figure this out for 2 days now. I'm trying hard to do this on my own. I feel like I'm going around in circles.

Upload and I don't see eye to eye. I know it's something I'm doing wrong. Will someone help me figure out what I'm doing that is preventing me from having a chat room?

Thank you in advance.

Okay, I am using PHPNuke 7.4 and my server uses MySQL. SPChat can be downloaded at www.spchat.org And what I'm trying to do is have a chat room that is functional. The directions say that after the upload is done to do the Super Admin and Regular Accounts and I can't access them. I can't even find them.

I'm not sure if that is what you were asking, my brain is scrambled eggs from all this.....but I'm learning patience tho.......yay.

Thx,
BunnyNuke

Ok this is an easy one, or should atleast be easy
I have just read the instructions that come with the chatmodule and this is what i think you should do:
1. Upload all the files just like they are delivered
2. Login as a User
3. Login as Superadmin
4. Go into the adminpanel
5. Look for the SPChat Icon in the adminpanel
6. Click the Icon
7. See that there are error messages
8. Ignore the error messages
9. Click the install link there
10. Go into SPChat adminpanel once again and do all you ahve to do

This is as detailed as possible, can't write any better instructions

I wonder if it's because I had tried to install Blab script and maybe these two chats are fighting with each other. I am going to sleep on this.......I had a bad experience deleting a folder(last week) from the server so I hesitate to delete Blab. If you go here: www.myblondie.org/chat you will see the Blab files. I just found this out yesterday. I'll eventually figure this out. I refuse to let anything defeat me. Thx for your help.
