sorry guys, im soo php dumb... i got another question...

Im trying to install gallery on my site

i have no idea how to get this imagemagick installed on my site, once downloaded there are millions of files, what do i put on my ftp and where...

We don't use imagmagik with our gallery. We use netpbm.

Hopefully someone else can help you out there. :?

ya, i would use that too, but i dont know howto install either, can you tell me hota install it... ftp wise, i got all the correct files i believe, but maybe not, i got a linux running server

First you need to downlaod the netpbm binaries from the same place you Download Gallery at Sourceforge.

Download the ones for Linux.

Then make a new folder on your FTP. I call my netpbm. Extract the binaries from the tar ball package. There should be about 10 files or so or not.
Upload them to the new netpbm folder on your FTP.
Then CHMOD all of the 755.
Now when you set up the Gallery configuration, the first screen will not see the netpbm binaries. You must specify the path to the binaries in the next screen. It is the path, not the link.

www/htdocs/yourweb/netpbm/

not
www.yourweb.com/netpbm

ok, i got it installed, only thing now, is during the setup, which took forever to get netpbm path found...

now i need albums temp directory... i have it there but it doesnt find it.. path is correct, ill prob fix it here in a while.. but does that really matter??

ok ok ok, all configed... BUT


Unable to write to /home/medicsin/public_html/home/modules/gallery/.htaccess

my ftp wont show me that file to chmod it to 777]

do you have .htaccess files setup on your server already? try logging into your server admin and locating the access file through there.
