Can someone start me out - 12-31-2002, 10:25 AM

I am new here and need some quick direction down and dirty on why my theme packs wont come up. Using phpBB2 at this site
http://www.jsm-inc.com/phpBB2/index.php

I have uploaded the reviere and darkside theme packs to the folder "templates" along with the subSilver folder. I am unable to use the add command in the admin section to get the modules to take affect. I uploaded theavatar packages and they seem to be working fine.

Any help would be great. Aslo my folders to the phpBB2 and subsequebt folders are all chmod 777 for the time being. :?:

Welcome to nukemods! You need to put the Theme from the pack in the themes folder. And the template in the modules/forums/templates folder.

Then you can go to admin and select your theme from preferences.
Got to your forum admin and on the left side select under styles admin, add. Select the templates to add. Then on the left under General Admin select Configuration. There you can select your default Style.

Down and dirty enough?

Here is what I have now. but still not recognized.

/public_html/phpBB2/templates/darkside/modules/Forums/templates/darkside

And all the files are showing in my FTP

Here is what I did for the themes templates.
/public_html/phpBB2/templates/darkside

there is also subSilver and reviere in this folder as well..

I guessdown and dierty was a bit to little. Can you elaborate a bit on how to extrapilate the folder that I unzipped and uploaded. 8O

I elaborated on the extrapolation while you were posting your last. That should clear it up for you.

Allrighty Then - 12-31-2002, 10:56 AM

So I managed to see the dark side in the add section under add in the admin of phpBB2. I know this sounds stupid but I guess now I just fill in the form provided with my bullshit and away we go. One more thing. Can I make this my default for the program.

JM

No it does not sound stupid, you're actually dooing very well to have got this far without help. Yes it will become your default theme.
Then on the left under General Admin select Configuration. There you can select your default Style.

Yes but in order to use our Theme packs you MUST be running PHP-Nuke AND phpBB port version 2.0.6 from Tom's.
http://bbtonuke.sourceforge.net

You are currently running phpBB from
http://www.phpbb.com/

You need to obtain your template for your Forums from http://www.phpbb.com/ in their styles Download area. Our templates for the Forums have been converted to only work with Tom's ported version of phpBB, not the version you are using.

Do not use our templates and themes on a standard phpBB Forum...they will not work.

Getting it, becoming more clear now - 12-31-2002, 01:49 PM

So I have downloaded the phpBB2 package from the site you suggested and will install over the current or should I just delete the current and re-install?

So in retrospect. I will have two separate folders in my root of home/web/jsminc/public_html/

one being phpNuke and the other phpBB2. is this correct or should I move the phpBB2 folder into the phpNuke folder. Does the admin in Nuke allow me to direct the forums to the phpBB2 board?

My gosh so many questions. Thats necause I am seeing alot of potential for this on my site. Eventually a culinary site. Oh yeah Mike I have installed phpNuke ver6 already and it is running great. I was having a problem with how and where to install and intigrate the themes. I seem to have gotten that part already though.

Thanks Mikem
