I had to play with it for some time to get colors to show up. The other thing was a topic has more then one page, the go to link, was really hard to read. I noticed the same problem here.
There was complaints about the original font size too. Felt like telling them to change their screen res LOL getting cynical in my old age,

I thinkthe actual problem isn't the font size (I did make it slightly larger) but the texture of the background. If the font was a heavier weight it would be much easier to read, regardless of the actual color.
One thing that I would like to see is when you use code, or quote that the color be significantly different, so its easier to see what is being said. Like if the box the code and quote show up in was a dark solor, with a light font. It would make it obvious to anyone reading it that it is quote or code. My users usually just use bold whatever they are quoting or change the color.
